Sunburst Card

I finally created a sunburst card! It was so easy, especially thanks to the tutorial that I followed. The tutorial was made by another very talented Close to my Heart independent consultant Susan Williams. You can visit her tutorial here.

I used scraps of paper left over from my Jubliee paper pack. The stamped images are from the current June 2014 stamp of the month Kaboom. There are only a few days left to get this stamp set. After June 30th the stamp set will no longer be available. Here is a pic of the rest of the cute images found on the June SOTM.

Hip Pics Mini Album

The Close to my Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge is for more than just creating traditional 12x12 or 8x8 scrapbook pages. Using the Artbooking cartridge to create frames and fun embellishments combined with the CTMH Hip Pics album (that you can purchase here) equals a fun simple mini album that was created so fast and easy. Now I just have to go print some 4x6 photos to slide right in between the pages.

Lollydoodle

Today I wanted to share some projects completed using the Lollydoodle paper collection from Close to my Heart. First pictured are some 3x3 cards. I love 3x3 cards, and I think the Lollydoodle paper is my favorite paper in the CTMH Spring/Summer 2014 catalog. This paper pack along with all of the others in the Spring/Summer 2014 are officially retiring July 31, but are only while supplies last. Check out the full list of retiring products here.

Next is a scrapbook layout that would be perfect for any little girl celebrating a birthday! This layout was a piece of cake to make using the exclusive CTMH Cricut cartridges. Both the Artbooking and Artiste cartridges were used to create this layout.

Spring cards

Here are some cards we created for a home gathering make n' take. We love the spring themed paper and embellishments in the new Close to my Heart catalog!

The hostess wanted to make something using the CTMH Artbooking cricut cartridge. This card uses one of the "frames" meant to hold a 4X4 picture in a scrapbook, but we just adjusted the size and now we have a cute card accent! This card also uses the new Lolly Doodle paper and new pink dots.

This card uses one of the "border" features of the Artbooking cartridge. The border is meant to be used as a scrapbook page accent, but we cut it twice and overlapped the middle pieces to create an overlay for the card. This card uses the new Balloon Ride paper and smoothie washi tape. The necklace in the background also is a new item to purchase from Close to my Heart. It's part of the new base and bling line. You can custom design a necklace using either a square or circle pendant and choosing your design from a big selection of stickers from the style sheets.

I'm so excited February is finally here! The stamp of the month this month is definitely one of my favorites. It is called Wild About Love S1402. Retail value of $17.95, but you can get it for $5 when you spend $50.
